2026 Hybrid SkillsUSA California Regional Championships
The SkillsUSA California Regional Leadership and Skills Championships are a series of career competition events showcasing students from six regions enrolled in career and technical education programs. These regional-level contests progress to the state and national stages. Regional events serve as a qualifying requirement for the state leadership and skills conference. Gold and silver recipients from each region will advance to SLSC for each contest. Additional qualifiers will be invited to advance as space allows.

Thanks to an investment from business and industry partners, the events take place in a hybrid format to ensure student participation in all regions has consistent and equitable assessment of their skills. In 2025, the Regional Championships attracted over 8,000 contestants participating in 118 events. Nearly 200 judges and contest organizers contribute their expertise to make the RLSC events possible.

The fundamental principles of the RLSC Championships are to identify, recognize, and reward students for their outstanding performance, actively involve industry professionals in assessing student achievements, and ensure that the training provided and the skills acquired by the students align with employers' needs.
