Design & Make Summit

2nd Autodesk Design and Make Summit in Chicago

July 30-August 1, 2024.

 

The Summit will involve valuable technical training on Fusion and an opportunity for teachers to be paired with others in their sector (e.g., high school teachers with other high school teachers) to network, share ideas, and collaborate. 

 

Teachers can register at the link below. The early bird rate of $349 (which includes conference registration and three nights at the Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile) goes through Friday.

Aside from the state-provided resources, SkillsUSA provides a wealth of resources, including Membership Kits, Scholarship details, Professional Development opportunities, Advocacy initiatives, Educational Resources, and much more.

The SkillsUSA Championships Technical Standards are the official rules and guides for each competition that’s part of the SkillsUSA Championships. A competition’s technical standards include an overview of the competition, lists of technical skills and knowledge required, clothing requirements, equipment lists and more. The embedded academic skills in math, English and science are also included for each competition.

To be nominated for the advisor of the year, the teacher:
Must be registered as a SkillsUSA California Advisor 
Must have completed Chapter of Excellence Level Two.
Must have served for at least two years as a SkillsUSA California advisor.


To be named state advisor of the year, the advisor:
Must be awarded regional advisor of the year.
Be interviewed by a panel at the state conference.

The SkillsUSA California Regional Advisors of the Year honor is reserved for chapter advisors whose local chapters attain Chapter Excellence Program Level Two recognition in the present school year. These exceptional advisors will be acknowledged by our state association and undergo interviews with a panel of SkillsUSA California Board members to ascertain the SkillsUSA California State Advisor of the Year.
