FIND A NEED
Look around your school and community. What could be improved? Who could use some help? Choose a project that meets a real need and connects to a different SkillsUSA Framework Essential Element.

MAKE AN IMPACT
Plan and complete your project! Chapters are encouraged to complete at least three major community service projects during the school year. Projects can happen at school, in your community, or anywhere you see a need.

SUBMIT & GET RECOGNIZED
After your project, submit the Community Service Form. Share your project, the Framework Essential Element you focused on, the number of members who participated, and total service hours. Submit by the last three days of each month to be considered for Chapter of the Month recognition.

SkillsUSA California believes every chapter has the power to make a difference. Through community service, members are encouraged to identify needs in their schools and local communities and turn those needs into meaningful service projects.

Community service is more than giving back—it’s an opportunity for students to develop leadership skills, strengthen their chapters, and make a lasting impact. Whether it’s a large community initiative or a small project that meets a local need, every project has a purpose.

Most Charitable Chapter Award
The Most Charitable Chapter Award acknowledges a chapter's outstanding dedication to community service, recognizing its extraordinary contributions to positively impact the lives of others. Chapters achieve this by leveraging their leadership and technical skills in support of the State Community Service Project.
