WE ARE SKILLSUSA CALIFORNIA
SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving middle school, high school, and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.
SkillsUSA is an applied method of instruction for preparing America’s high-performance workers for public career and technical programs. We provide quality educational experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship, and character development. We build and reinforce self-confidence, work attitudes, and communication skills.
Our mission is to empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members. SkillsUSA improves the quality of our nation’s future skilled workforce through the development of Framework skills that include personal, workplace, and technical skills grounded in academics.

Entry Form

From September 23 to 27, 2023, California sent 42 members to the SkillsUSA Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI) in Washington, D.C. This annual event offers students and advisors nationwide unique chances for skilled trade advocacy and advanced leadership training. WLTI includes monument and museum tours, discussions with government officials, and a touching wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. The highlight is students meeting their elected officials on Capitol Hill, passionately advocating for SkillsUSA and technical education, leaving a lasting impact. WLTI is a remarkable opportunity for hundreds of students annually.
